Cottage Grove police reports: Dumped tires; multiple thefts
A Minneapolis woman put her phone down on the counter at Holiday, 8101 Hadley Ave., Dec. 15 and when she returned it was missing. Loss: $920.
A package was taken from a home in the 9900 block of 78th Street Dec. 17. There are no suspects. Loss: $21.
A package was taken from the 7500 block of 63rd Street Circle Dec. 18. Loss: $1,070.
A saw was stolen from a shed in the 8400 block of 110th Street Dec. 18. There are no suspects. Loss: $900.
A stolen vehicle from Rochester was found unoccupied in the Walmart parking lot, 9300 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 19. No charges have yet been made.
Multiple tools were taken from a construction trailer in the 7900 block of Hearthside Avenue Dec. 20. Loss: $1,921.
A customer left a checkbook by the register at Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road, and was stolen.
A Hastings woman had her wallet taken from a shopping cart at Hy-Vee, 7280 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 28. She left the wallet in the cart and returned it to the cart area. When she returned to retrieve it, it had been taken.
A vehicle was taken from the Wakota Inn, 7125 80th St., Dec. 31. Police have a potential suspect.
A home in the 7200 block of Jenner Alcove was broken into Dec. 15. Police say there were no signs of forced entry or tracks around the house, but a cable box was found missing from the home. Loss: $200.
A home in the 8100 block of East Point Douglas Road was broken into Dec. 23. There were no signs of forced entry, but two phones were missing from the residence.
A 35-year-old Oakdale man was cited on suspicion of drunken driving Dec. 24 near Manning Avenue. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.11.
Police cited a 23-year-old Cottage Grove male on suspicion of drunken driving Dec. 15 in Highlands Park, 6500 Inwood Ave. The man was found to have been doing donuts in the parking lot. A preliminary breathalyzer test reported a 0.08 blood alcohol content.
Two men were cited for trespassing in the 11000 block of Grey Cloud Island Trail Dec. 17. A 31-year-old Inver Grove Heights man and a 37-year-old Vadnais Heights man were crossing a property to get to a fishing location.
Two Cottage Grove women were arrested for misdemeanor shoplifting at Target, 8655 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 18. Kourtney Knop, 31, and Beth Anne Sadowski, 30, were taken to Washington County Jail.
A 63-year-old male was cited for shoplifting and trespassed from 5 Dollar Tan, 7145 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 20. The man returned and was cited for shoplifting again Dec. 28.
A 39-year-old St. Paul woman was cited with misdemeanor shoplifting at Cub Foods, 8690 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 23.
Three juvenile males from Hastings aged 15- and 16-years-old were cited for shoplifting Dec. 26 at Kohl's, 7990 Hardwood Ave.
Unknown suspects attempted to push a cart with $840 in items out of Walmart, 9300 East Point Douglas Road, without paying for them Dec. 27. They left in their vehicle but left the items.

A 40-year-old Cottage Grove female was cited for shoplifting after taking $212 in items from Target, 8655 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 29.
Two Bosch drills valued at $200 each were stolen at different times from Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road, Jan. 2. There are no suspects.
An unknown person dumped tires along Highway 19 (Keats Avenue) from Cottage Grove to Woodbury Dec. 20.
A 13-year-old male was cited for juvenile domestic assault after punching his father Dec. 30 in the 7700 block of Inskip Trail.
A 26-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for misdemeanor property damage for breaking the side mirror of a vehicle in the 8000 block of Ingleside Avenue during an argument Dec. 23.
A juvenile male and juvenile female caused a disturbance by fighting at Walgreens, 7135 East Point Douglas Road, Dec. 27. They were verbally warned by police.
Walgreens, 7135 East Point Douglas Road, reported a disorderly customer Dec. 28. The store had taken its phone off-line briefly due to a number of harassing phone calls. A customer was frustrated that the store was not answering the phone, and became disorderly after arriving at the store. The customer was trespassed.
